A dump truck driver was killed in a fiery crash with a tractor-trailer and a pickup truck on Tuesday afternoon.
The three vehicles collided in the eastbound lanes near Exit 49B in Springfield Township just before 12:30 p.m., NJSP Lt. Lawrence Peele told Daily Voice. The dump truck driver was killed in the crash.
The incident was initially reported as a truck fire and upgraded to a crash about 45 minutes later on 511NJ:
Meanwhile, the eastbound and westbound express lanes remained closed for the crash investigation. Additional details were not released.
